Kent BabbWashington Post Sportswriter, author of The Incredible Rise and Unthinkable Fall of Allen Iverson, Pen Literary Award Finalist

She [Dawn] had a vision for this project long before I was able to see it. She read my Washington Post profile on Iverson in April 2013 and just refused to let me say no to her about expanding the story into a book, a kind of determination I came to admire a great deal. Dawn made his process so incredibly easy for me, which is about the best think I could say about those shepherding a first-time author though the process.

Dawn Michelle Hardy is a wealth of knowledge. Even though she didn't represent me for my current book deal, she was generous with her insight and helped me understand crucial components of the process so I could be better equipped to ask for what I wanted and receive it! It's clear that it is important for authors to know that even if she is not representing them, she can still offer guidance that they may not receive from anyone else. She really wants to see writers win -- and when they work with Dawn, they do!

The media blitz produced by Dawn Michelle Hardy aka The Literary Lobbyist for the debut novel “Black Girls Must Die Exhausted” by Jayne Allen was the coming together of many of your black #bookstagrammers. I have never witnessed ANY book receive such a connective and fluid plug as this. It was a movement. For three days the solidarity among a reading community was visible. It was awesome witnessing post after post celebrating the book and the author. Dawn’s professionalism and creativity were on full display. I would highly recommend authors
work with her.

Dawn Michelle and Dream Relations have a huge part to play in my success story. In just a short time, my novels and myself were featured on national radio and television programming including BET, Comcast, Radio One and The Wendy Williams Experience along with some great print features in Elle, Essence, Vibe, Philadelphia Magazine, Upscale and a host of others. Dawn will go the extra mile for her clients and push to get them seen and heart in hard to reach media outlets. In my eyes Dawn is much more than a publicist she is a go-getter, a friend, and a bonafide hustler.

Susanne TedrickAuthor of Women of Color in Tech

I had the pleasure of working and getting to know Dawn for the promotion of my book, Women of Color in Tech. As a first-time author, I had no knowledge or sense of how the publishing industry worked, let alone how to build a sound book publicity strategy. I was lost on how to move forward. Also, due to my work commitments, I did not have the capacity to make book publicity efforts a full-time endeavor.

On all these fronts, Dawn has proven to be a wonderful asset. Dawn helped me to develop a multi-faceted strategy, as well as taking lead in employing the right tools and resources to help with execution. Dawn has also helped me to develop and cultivate key relationships within my industry, which increased my credibility and helped further book sales. Couple all her skills and talents with her high energy, enthusiasm, tenacity and warmth, it’s not hard to see why Dawn is a powerhouse in her field.
